Making a Mushroom Spore Print
This technique is used in creating
liquid mycelium, grain spawn...etc.
Very exciting things to come!
Get prepared by saving a few spore prints now!
Materials Needed:

Drinking glass
-
Clean wax paper
-
91% Alcohol
-
Fresh Mushroom
This is so simple you don't need to see pictures!

Get a fresh mushroom of your desired mushroom specie.

Carefully twist off the cup with one hand while holding the stem with the other.

Place the mushroom cap on wax paper that has been wiped with at least 91% alcohol (Place caps gills down).

Place the small glass over top...works like a humidity tent.

Put up for the next 24hr.
And that is all she wrote! The next day you can just lift off the glass and the mushroom cap. You should have a perfect, and beautiful, spore print!
If you are looking to store the spore print for a lengthy time
then carefully fold the paper in half and place masking tape around the
edges. The spore prints can last for years! Although...fresher the spore
print faster the growth.
This is the first step for many cool techniques to come!
